We’ve combined two types of crocodile leather, from the stomach and tail, to construct a truly unique accessory. While the stomach skin is smooth and sleek, the tail part features prominent bony growths that are a signature of reptile leather.
Abdominal leather is the softest and most valuable part of crocodiles’ skin. It clearly shows the symmetrically arranged cells of medium size. This skin is soft due to the fact that a crocodile is crawling on the abdomen, which prevents it from getting tough. Thanks to this softness and flexibility, belly skin is used to craft premium class belts.
We contrasted the smoothness of the belt’s cellular texture with thicker tail skin. You can see the protruding bumps that testify to the leather’s authenticity. This skin is more rough and rugged but we carefully tanned it so that you can have a striking yet comfortable belt. A classic black coating will allow you to wear this belt with any outfit while a polished finishing will no doubt spruce up your look and command attention.
We used leather of farm-raised crocodiles sourced from local suppliers. Another proof of the skin’s authenticity is small, barely visible scratches or dents obtained as a result of reptiles’ vital activity. Indeed, crocodiles often vie with each other for food and attention of females, and as a consequence of their battles, the skin can get scars and damages. But this is not considered a defect. On the contrary, such a feature proves the temper of these severe predators.
